Allyson Felix reigns as the most decorated American Track & Field Olympian of all time. She officially retired from competitive running in the summer of 2022, concluding a career that includes thirty-one global medals across the Olympics and World Championships, with titles as both a World Record Holder and a Master’s World Record Holder. In addition to her achievements on the track, she has earned 13 Global Titles, 10 U.S. Championships, and 11 Olympic Medals. Felix was elected to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, continuing her significant impact on the global sports community.
In 2020, Felix broke records after winning her bronze and gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics—her fifth and final Olympic games. She made history during the games by wearing racing spikes created by her own company, Saysh—a lifestyle and footwear brand designed to support and empower women. Publicly launched post-Games in June 2021, Saysh not only provides a supportive community for women but also manufactures athletic-inspired footwear designed specifically for women, unlike many brands that base women's shoes on men's designs. Running in her spikes, Felix symbolized her advocacy for change, equity, and acceptance for women and girls everywhere. Felix has also been honored in "TIME's 100 Most Influential People" and was listed in Bloomberg's "50 People and Ideas that Defined Global Business" in 2021.
Off the track, Felix is a committed advocate for maternity rights. In 2019, she authored an opinion piece for The New York Times highlighting the lack of guaranteed protections for pregnant athletes and new moms, a move that significantly raised awareness about pregnancy discrimination in athletics. During the 2020 Olympics, in partnership with Athleta, she created the Power of She Fund: Child Care Grant to support mom-athletes with childcare expenses. Recently, she also facilitated the introduction of a Family Space at the Olympic Village during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, in collaboration with P&G, supporting athletes and their families.
Additionally, Felix serves on the board of directors for &Mother and Right to Play, among others, advocating for children and athletes worldwide. She is an investor in various companies and advises a female-led and focused venture fund, extending her influence beyond athletics into business and entrepreneurship. Felix resides in Los Angeles with her husband, daughter Camryn, and son Kenneth Maurice Ferguson III, known as Trey, who was born in 2024.
