Andrew McNeill

Andrew McNeill has spent over two decades in senior leadership, including a significant role as a Director in the UK Civil Service, managing complex national programs. Throughout his career, he has led large teams in high-pressure environments and has been a notable speaker on leadership topics, including "Leadership through Change" and "Compassion in Leadership."

He is an accredited mindfulness teacher and has successfully integrated mindfulness into leadership with his book "Organisational Mindfulness – a How-to Guide," published in 2019, which has garnered international sales. By combining his extensive leadership experience and insights as a mindfulness practitioner, McNeill has formulated methods that enhance performance, promote psychological safety, and support both individual and collective well-being.

In 2018, McNeill founded Lines of Sight Consultancy to offer his expertise more broadly, assisting other teams and leaders in embedding effective mindfulness and leadership practices. His work emphasizes the importance of inclusion, compassion, and awareness in leadership, especially crucial in navigating the pressures of modern challenges such as climate change and economic shifts. McNeill's approach has proven effective in helping teams connect and communicate with honesty and kindness, and in supporting leaders to manage stress and improve decision-making through tailored executive mindfulness tutorial programs. He continues to contribute significantly to the field as the Workplace and Policy Lead and Projects Advisor for the Mindfulness Initiative and as Co-Director of BAMBA, the UK’s mindfulness accreditation body.
