Angel Rich

Angel Rich is an award-winning economist, financial technologist, and global advocate for economic equity whose groundbreaking work has reshaped financial education, credit access, and consumer empowerment worldwide. Creating an algorithm for the stock market to win Goldman Sachs Portfolio Challenge, selling her first marketing plan to Prudential, becoming a founding employee of FINRA, authoring the first ever African American Financial Experience study, inventing the top financial literacy product in the world, and being named the “Next Steve Jobs” by Forbes – all by age 30, Rich has earned the title Wealth Pioneer.

As a former Global Market Research Analyst at Prudential Financial, Rich conducted more than 70 financial behavior studies, including President Obama’s Veterans Initiative, and saved the company $6 billion through her Problem Resolution Study. Motivated by a commitment to democratize financial knowledge, she left to build technology that delivers financial literacy.

Rich launched CreditStacker, the first financial literacy mobile game, which quickly soared to 500,000 downloads in 60 countries and reached the #1 education app in 14 nations. The White House, the Department of Education, and JPMorgan Chase recognized CreditStacker as the best financial literacy product in the United States. She is also the bestselling author of "History of the Black Dollar," "Black Woman Politics," and the "WealthyLife Financial Literacy Textbook."

Rich served as Vice Chair of the DC Financial Literacy Council, co-authoring statewide financial literacy recommendations and the curriculum Fiscally Fit. She co-created the MIT Hacking Racism Challenge—producing the largest Black hackathon in the country—and founded the #BlackTechMatters PAC to expand diversity in technology, helping to put over $1 billion into small businesses and HBCUs. Her achievements have earned her accolades such as Hamptonian of the Year, HBCU 30 Under 30, Hampton 40 Under 40, and Google’s Top 30 Black Female Founders. The United Nations named her one of the Top 5 Most Influential People in the African Diaspora, and the Sandy Spring Slave Museum honored her as a historic figure.

Rich is the founder of CreditRich, the first Black woman–owned neo-bank and the first Black-owned company to secure an institutional partnership with a credit bureau. Through its partnership with VISA, CreditRich is pioneering new credit-building debit and credit products and has reached a valuation exceeding $1.5 billion. Extending her vision of equity into sports, she co-founded 4tee Acres, a national HBCU golf initiative in partnership with PGA Reach.

In 2025, Rich received a Doctorate of Humanities from United Graduate College and Seminary International in recognition of her global impact.
