Anjali Kumar

Anjali Kumar is an advisor, author, attorney, speaker, angel investor, and idea acupuncturist. She works with entrepreneurs and C-level executives in all stages of business, focusing on early-stage tech, consumer products, and luxury fashion companies with a social conscience. She recently founded an advisory firm focusing on legal counsel and business strategy for entrepreneurs, executives, talent, and brands.

Prior to that, Kumar held several foundational roles including Chief People Officer and General Counsel at Cheddar, Founding Head of Social Innovation and Founding General Counsel at Warby Parker, Founding General Counsel at Acumen, and Senior Counsel at Google. At Google, she curated and hosted the @Google Speaker Series on the NYC campus, bringing thought leaders like Anthony Bourdain and Questlove to Google's global audience. Her extensive experience also includes her role as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School and Fordham University.

Kumar's influential TED Talk "My Failed Mission To Find God—And What I Found Instead" has reached a wide audience, garnering over 2 million views. Her book, "Stalking God: My Unorthodox Search For Something To Believe In," has been translated into multiple languages, reflecting its global impact. She is also working on a new book titled "From Google to God," further exploring themes of spirituality and belief. Additionally, Kumar is the co-creator and host of the forthcoming podcast "Unsearchable" and the web series "Questlove Presents: Slightly Reserved with Anjali Kumar." Her board memberships include Happy Money, GloScience Professional, Amplifier Foundation, Edible Schoolyard NYC, and American Documentary (AmDoc). She continues to serve on the Guggenheim Museum’s Global Innovation Council.
