Anu Aiyengar

Anu Aiyengar is the Global Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and since 1999, has advised both domestic and international clients on nearly $1 trillion dollars’ worth of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, divestitures/separations, proxy contests, unsolicited transactions and special committee assignments. She is also a member of the company's Global Banking Management team and serves on the Steering Committee of Women On the Move for JPMorgan Chase.

Aiyengar was named to Barron’s “100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance” list in 2023 and recognized by American Banker as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Finance.” She was also the recipient of the “Impact and Innovation Award” by Dress for Success, the “Rising Star Award” by Women’s Bond Club, the 2022 Ascend A-list award, and in 2024, was named to Business Insider’s Rainmakers as well as Forbes' India W-Power lists.

Aiyengar is involved with several initiatives across JPMorgan Chase and Wall Street to recruit, mentor and develop women. She is a frequent panelist and speaker at various events, including Wall Street Women’s Forum, Women Corporate Directors, Women’s Private Equity Summit, The Asian Women in Business, and the South Asian Bar Association Leadership Awards. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Smith College and is on the Board of Youth INC and Dress for Success. Aiyengar is frequently quoted in the financial press and interviewed on CNBC and Bloomberg TV.

Aiyengar is also a founding member of the Smith Business Advisory Council. She started her career at American Express before joining JPMorgan Chase. She holds a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Smith College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University.
