Austin French

Austin French grew up dreaming about being a Christian singer/songwriter. While in high school, he was a part of bands that toured around to gigs as often as they could. He had a passion to share the gospel through his music, even at a young age. He started in ministry at Journey Church in Georgia at 18 years old where he then became the full-time worship pastor. In 2014, French competed on “Rising Star,” the first season of the ABC TV show, where he finished as runner-up.

After his time on the show, he met his manager Jason Davis and traveled to Nashville on numerous trips to write songs and grow his ministry. After a few years of songwriting, French signed a record deal with Fair Trade Services.

French’s newest project, "Wake Up Sleeper," is inspired by that early sermon, a reminder that Jesus is ever present in whatever situation we might be facing. With catchy hooks and impassioned, Spirit-fueled lyrics, French hopes to inspire those who may have become disillusioned with Christianity or perhaps have left the faith altogether, something he’s all too familiar with himself. As much as "Wake Up Sleeper" is an autobiographical story of growing up and finding God, he hopes it’s also a legacy for his children, each song is a heart-filled encouragement that the best it yet to come.
