Benji Goldsmith Biography
Benji Goldsmith is a composer, pianist, and vocalist living in New York City. As a pianist, he has won several competitions and has performed at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. As a vocalist, he sung for over four years in the Metropolitan Opera Children's Chorus, performing in over twenty productions, and has performed as a soloist with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at Tanglewood Music Festival. As a composer of chamber and orchestral music, Benji's music has been performed by the Vermont Youth Orchestra among other ensembles, and in 2006, he was awarded an ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composers Award. As a composer of musical theatre and song, Benji has collaborated on two musicals, one of which, The Averageachievers Club, was premiered at Acting Manitou in the summer of 2008. He lives in Manhattan.
