Bill Farmer

Bill Farmer has been the official voice of Disney's Goofy and Pluto since 1987, and has portrayed other beloved characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Foghorn Leghorn, Sylvester the Cat, and Yosemite Sam. His career began in his hometown of Pratt, Kansas, where he earned a reputation as "the kid with the voices" during his high school years, thanks to his talent for mimicking cartoon characters.

Following his passion for voice acting, Farmer pursued opportunities in radio and TV during his college years and later transitioned to stand-up comedy as an impressionist. His move to Hollywood marked a significant turning point when he auditioned for and landed the role of Goofy, along with other characters including Pluto, Horace Horsecollar, and Practical Pig. This opportunity cemented his position in the voice acting industry.

Today, not only does Farmer continue to voice cartoons, commercials, and movies, but he also engages in various roles within the industry and community. He is the executive producer and host of "It's a Dog's Life with Bill Farmer" on Disney Plus, a series that explores the lives of working dogs. His contribution to the field of animation has been recognized with several awards, including the Friz Freleng Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Animation, the 2009 Disney Legend Award, and the Annie Award in 2014 for his work in "Mickey Mouse Shorts." He also earned an Emmy nomination for his performances in "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse."
