Bobby Clampett

Bobby Clampett is a professional golfer whose career spans from 1980 to 1995 on the PGA Tour and continued on the Champions Tour from 2010 to 2014. His golfing accolades include winning the Southern Open on the PGA Tour in 1982, an event on the Japan Golf Tour in 1981, and the prestigious Haskins Award in 1979 and 1980 - making him a two-time Fred Haskins Award winner. He was also a three-time First Team Collegiate All-American at Brigham Young University. Clampett also achieved a top-3 finish at the 1982 U.S. Open and was a pivotal part of the winning team at the 1978 Eisenhower Trophy, where he was the individual leader.

Apart from his playing career, Clampett has also significantly contributed to golf broadcasting and literature. He joined CBS Sports as an on-course reporter for the 1991 PGA Championship and became a full-time tower announcer in 1995. In addition, Clampett is a PGA Master Professional of Teaching and Coaching, and is known as the 'Father of Impact' for developing his Impact-Based® Instruction methodology. Clampett also co-authored a book titled "The Impact Zone: Mastering Golf's Moment of Truth," published in 2007, and has contributed golf-related content to "Golf Digest".

In recent years, Clampett has expanded his influence in the golfing world through golf course design and teaching. After his retirement from professional golf, he focused on golf instruction and co-founded Impact Zone Golf in Naples, Florida, incorporating his Impact-Based® Instruction. In addition to golf, Clampett founded Clampett Cellars, which has put out over ten different varieties of wine sine it's formation in 2010.

Clampett has been inducted into the California Golf Hall Of Fame, Utah Golf Hall Of Fame, and BYU's Halls, further cementing his status as a respected figure in the sport.
