Hall's expertise stems from his own remarkable journey as the skipper of the winning yacht in the most demanding sailing event, the Clipper Round-the-World Yacht Race. He led a team of 44 crewmembers on a record-breaking 40,000 nautical mile race around the world where he learned how to create the most engaged, change-embracing culture, with a compelling vision, psychological ownership, and a continuous-improvement mindset. Through his company, Ocean & Boardroom, he has helped clients such as Google, Deloitte, GlaxoSmithKline, L'Oreal, Porsche, Nestle, and Swarovski to apply these principles and achieve winning results.

In his speeches, Hall explores the driving forces behind his team’s extraordinary result, including a focus on embracing change, psychological safety, emotional intelligence, autonomy, trust, and creating a culture of full ownership.

Hall is the author of "Team Spirit: Life & Leadership On The World’s Toughest Yacht Race," a valuable resource for business leaders, which has been featured in Economia and The Sunday Times, and shortlisted for the prestigious Mountbatten Book Award. He is also an adjunct lecturer at Ashridge Executive Education and Cranfield Business Schools in the UK.
