Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner is a television personality, former Olympic gold medalist, and trans woman. Her journey as an athlete began at the 1972 Summer Olympic Games, where she placed tenth. Then, in 1976, she set a new world record in the decathlon at the Summer Olympic Games, scoring an impressive 8,634 points and securing a gold medal. Jenner's victory at these games garnered her several prestigious awards, including the James E. Sullivan Award in 1976, and she was named Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year that same year. Her Olympic record set in 1976 would remain unbroken until 1980.

From the late 1970s to the early 2000s, Jenner had a varied career in television and film. She appeared on multiple game shows, reality TV series, and TV movies. Among these, the reality series "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," which premiered in 2007, gained notable popularity. Jenner also had a stint as a race car driver in the IMSA Camel GT series in the 1980s, during which she won the 12 hours of Sebring in the IMSA GTO class.

In April 2015, Jenner publicly announced her transition to a transgender woman. Her first public appearance post-transition was at the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles in July 2015, where she was awarded the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage. Her transition journey was documented in the E! docuseries "I Am Cait," for which Jenner also served as an executive producer. The series ran for two seasons and provided an intimate look at her life post-transition. In 2024, Jenner announced that she and her fellow "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" member, Lamar Odom, would be launching the sports podcast "Keeping Up With Sports," where they intend to interview fellow athletes on a more personal level.

Since retiring from sports, Jenner has become a sought-after motivational speaker, TV sports commentator, and author. She has written several books, which include "Decathlon Challenge: Bruce Jenner's Story and Finding the Champion Within" and "The Secrets of My Life." Beyond her careers in entertainment and sports, Jenner has also been involved in business. Her ventures have included Jenner Racing, an all-female W Series open-wheel championship team, and Bruce Jenner Aviation, a company selling aircraft supplies.

She is an advocate for transgender rights and has used her platform to campaign for the cause. As a member of the Republican Party, she ran as a replacement candidate in the 2021 California gubernatorial recall election, finishing in 13th place among the candidates running to replace Governor Gavin Newsom. In 2022, Jenner became an on-air contributor for Fox News six months after the recall election.
