Caleb Castille had less than three days to prepare for his first acting role in "Woodlawn" after being selected by filmmakers Jon and Andrew Erwin to play Tony Nathan, a true high school football drama story. Initially training as a football body double, Castille was soon chosen as the lead due to his convincing portrayal possibilities. Born in Columbus, Georgia in 1991, Caleb Castille grew up in an Alabama family known for its football legacy. His father, Jeremiah, and his two older brothers, Tim and Simeon, all played football at the University of Alabama and pursued careers in the NFL. As the youngest of three brothers, Caleb played at Birmingham's Briarwood Christian High School, later joining the University of Alabama, where he played on two national championship teams. In 2013, he left football to pursue acting, maintaining his studies while undertaking auditions and modeling, including work for Nike and Air Jordan.
