Casey Bloys

Mr. Casey Bloys has been President of Programming at Home Box Office, Inc. since May 2016 and oversees all of HBO’s and Cinemax’s programming areas. Mr. Casey was president, HBO Series, Late Night and Specials in January 2011. He is a well-liked long-time HBO executive who has a long track record in development. He joined the network in 2004 as director of Development at HBO Independent Productions, and was Vice President of HIP in 2005.

In 2006, he was Vice President of HBO Entertainment, spearheading the development and production of comedy series and elevated to Senior Vice President in 2009 and Executive Vice President in 2013.

Some of the HBO series he has overseen include best series Emmy winner Veep, Silicon Valley, Girls, Enlightened, Flight of the Conchords, Ballers, Eastbound and Down, Getting On and Last Week Tonight, as well as the upcoming Divorce from Sarah Jessica Parker and Sharon Horgan, Insecure from Issa Rae and Vice Principals from Danny McBride and Jody Hill.

Bloys joined HBO in 2004 as director, Development, HBO Independent Productions (HIP), and promoted to vice president, HIP, in 2005. In 2006, he was named vice president, HBO Entertainment, spearheading the development and production of comedy series that include Entourage, Eastbound & Down, Bored to Death, Flight of the Concords and Summer Heights High.

Prior to HBO, he was director, Development, for Wass-Stein Productions, from 2000 to 2004. He began his career as an assistant in the Current and Development departments of CBS.

Bloys has a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.
