Cheryl Burke

Cheryl Burke is an American dancer, model, TV host, and entrepreneur. She is best known for her work on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars", where she was the first female professional to win the show and the first professional to win twice consecutively. Burke has participated in multiple seasons, securing several championship titles over her 25 years of dancing experience. In 2006, she won a Prime Time Emmy for Outstanding Choreography and was nominated again for her exceptional skills in dance.

In addition to her television career, Burke has engaged in various projects, including hosting the "Pretty Messed Up" podcast on iHeartRadio with AJ McLean from Backstreet Boys. She starred in NBC's "I Can Do That" in 2015, and she took over the ALDC Elite competition team on Lifetime’s reality series "Dance Moms" in 2017. Burke launched her own clothing line with QVC in 2015, and partnered with Bailey Blue for a line of fashion face masks in 2020. She also created and produced "Love on the Floor," a live stage show that premiered in Tokyo, Japan in June 2016.

Outside of entertainment, Burke is a vocal advocate for self-esteem, healthy body image, and survivors of domestic sexual abuse, often speaking at medical conferences, women’s conventions, and to school-age children on these topics. Her efforts have been recognized with an Asian Excellence Award in 2008 and an induction into the Robert Chinn Foundation’s Asian Hall of Fame in 2020. Burke has authored an autobiography, "Dancing Lessons," where she shares her personal experiences with childhood molestation, aiming to raise awareness and support for other survivors. She continues to develop unscripted television show concepts, which she plans to also produce, contributing further to her diverse career across different media platforms.
