Dan Abrams

Dan Abrams is the chief legal affairs correspondent for ABC News, host of "Dan Abrams Live" on NewsNation, "On Patrol: Live on Reelz," host of "The Dan Abrams Show: Where Politics Meets the Law" on SiriusXM’s POTUS channel, host and executive producer of "Court Cam" and "Taking The Stand" on A&E Network, and CEO and Founder of Abrams Media. He started his career at Court TV and covered high-profile cases such as the O.J. Simpson murder trial. In the past, Abrams was the host of the top-rated cable series “Live PD” on A&E Network, co-anchor of ABC's "Nightline," host of “The Abrams Report” and the acclaimed “Verdict with Dan Abrams” on MSNBC. Abrams also served as General Manager of MSNBC and was a member of the NBC Universal President’s Council during his tenure.

Beyond his work in television, Abrams has launched numerous media properties. These include the nationally recognized Mediaite.com, which covers the intersection of media and politics; WhiskeyRaiders.com, a site that rates whiskeys using a proprietary algorithm; and Law&Crime.com, a legal news website that live streams trials. In addition, Abrams started several other websites, such as Styleite (rebranded as Runway Riot in 2015), SportsGrid, The Mary Sue, The Braiser, and Ambo TV. These Abrams Media properties now welcome over 20 million unique visitors per month.

Abrams is a graduate of Duke and Columbia University Law School and a prolific writer. He has published numerous articles in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal, in addition to The Yale Law and Policy Review, ABCNews.com, and Mediaite.com. Abrams has written several best-selling books. These include "Lincoln's Last Trial: The Murder Case That Propelled Him to The Presidency," "Theodore Roosevelt for the Defense: The Courtroom Battle to Save His Legacy," and "Man Down: Proof Beyond A Reasonable Doubt That Women Are Better Cops, Drivers, Gamblers, Spies, World Leaders, Beer Tasters, Hedge Fund Managers, and Just About Everything Else." Abrams has made appearances on late-night talk shows to promote these books.

Outside of media and publishing, Abrams is co-owner of the restaurant The Lion and purchased Laurel Lake Vineyards in 2021 (relaunched as Ev&Em Vineyards). As a public speaker, Abrams speaks on topics related to law, media, and current events.
