Daniel L. Roberts

Dr. Daniel L. Roberts is the President and CEO of the Moral Injury Support Network for Servicewomen, Inc. (MISNS), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to women-centered education and research in spiritual leadership and support. With over 18 years of experience in providing emotional and spiritual care to armed forces members, Dr. Roberts has become a key figure in mental health and veteran care. He also mentors military, VA, and civilian professionals through various training programs.

Before leading MISNS, Dr. Roberts served in the U.S. Army for over 30 years, retiring as the Chief Religious Affairs NCO of the U.S. Army Reserve Command. His military career included roles as an infantry sergeant, scout, and sniper, where he led troops through multiple combat operations and peacekeeping missions. His dedication to the well-being of female service members is exemplified by his creation of the Comprehensive Female Soldier Support Model, a framework for spiritual care tailored specifically to women in the military.

Dr. Roberts is also at the forefront of research on moral injury, currently leading two significant multi-organizational projects. One study focuses on developing a general theory of moral injury in women veterans, while the other investigates the impact of moral injury on partners of military service members. His academic background includes a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, an M.S. in Information Systems from Strayer University, and a B.A. in Management and Ethics from John Wesley College.

Dr. Roberts' contributions to the field of mental health and his commitment to supporting servicewomen have made him a respected leader in both military and civilian communities. Through MISNS and his ongoing research, he continues to make a profound impact on the lives of those who have served.
