Danny Hurley

Head Coach of University of Connecticut Men’s Basketball Danny Hurley led the Huskies to back-to-back National Titles in 2023 and 2024, setting a historic mark in college basketball. Upon joining UConn as the 19th head coach, Hurley significantly improved the program's competitive edge. He transformed UConn into a powerhouse, evident from the numerous national accolades and the improved winning percentages under his leadership. He has been pivotal in UConn's return to the forefront of collegiate basketball, combining perseverance, strategic insights, and leadership.

Since taking the reins at UConn, Hurley has led the program to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, including consecutive titles, a testament to his effective rebuilding strategies. He has been recognized with the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year Award, multiple USBWA District I Coach of the Year Awards, and the prestigious Winged Foot Award. Throughout his coaching career, Hurley has taken charge of four struggling basketball programs—including St. Benedict’s Prep, Wagner College, the University of Rhode Island, and UConn—and transformed them into national contenders.
