David Baker

David Baker joined the Pro Football Hall of Fame with experience in business, politics, and sports leadership. As now the former president and CEO, Baker guided the Hall of Fame through a period of expanded programming, increased television ratings, and broader exposure of the organization's mission, values, and vision. During his tenure, the Hall recorded its strongest financial results and advanced the Hall of Fame Village redevelopment project, while also helping secure the NFL Centennial Celebration in Canton.

Baker received the March of Dimes Sports Leadership Award, joining recipients such as NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, NBA Commissioner David Stern, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, and Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig. Through his work establishing the first Mission Statement and Fan Bill of Rights in sports, Baker contributed to the Arena Football League's growth as a fan-focused organization. Team values increased significantly, supported by his negotiation of television contracts and partnerships with the NFL and major sponsors.

An attorney by training, Baker played professional basketball in Switzerland and internationally with a Christian basketball team. He served as mayor and councilman of Irvine, California, and spent 12 years as commissioner of the Arena Football League. Baker continues to advise sports and entertainment ventures as a board member, consultant, and keynote speaker on leadership, organizational culture, and fan engagement.
