David Chotka

Rev. Dr. David Chotka is a seasoned leader in spiritual development and prayer ministry, currently serving as the Founder and Director of SpiritEquip Ministries. With over three decades of experience, he has made significant contributions as a conference speaker, author, and prayer mobilizer. Dr. Chotka previously led the Alliance Pray! Team (APT) and served as the Canadian director of the College of Prayer, bringing prayer resources to communities worldwide.

Dr. Chotka holds four earned degrees, including a Doctorate of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. His expertise spans various Christian traditions, having studied under notable mentors like Dr. Gordon Fee and Dr. Maxie Dunnam. He has authored several impactful books, including "Power Praying", which has been translated into multiple languages and distributed globally, particularly among Christian leaders in Pakistan and French-speaking Africa.

In addition to his writing, Dr. Chotka has been a delegate to the Lausanne Congress and has led numerous international prayer events. His most recent book, co-authored with Dr. Maxie Dunnam, "Healing Prayer: God's Idea for Restoring Body, Mind, and Spirit", further solidifies his commitment to equipping the global church with tools for spiritual growth. He continues to teach, write, and lead, with a passion for fostering spiritual renewal across denominations.

Dr. Chotka lives in southwest Ontario, Canada, with his wife, Elizabeth. They have two adult children, and in his leisure time, David enjoys playing the piano and exploring new ways to stay active.
