David Salyers

David Salyers was one of the original two marketing executives at Chick-fil-A. He went on to spend 37 years in the Chick-fil-A Marketing Department, most recently as a Vice President, before his retirement. Having worked at Chick-fil-A his entire career, he witnessed the principles of servant leadership and creating remarkable customer experiences play out in the growth of more than 2,300 Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country. This multi-billion dollar company has experienced over 50 consecutive years of sales growth, much of which can be attributed to Salyers' significant contributions.

During his time at Chick-fil-A, Salyers was instrumental in the growth and development of the iconic ‘cow campaign’ and helped champion a marketing department that rose to international prominence and prestige. He is recognized for his marketing acumen, his commitment to service, and his entrepreneurial spirit. Salyers also emphasizes the importance of creating positive customer experiences, termed "Remarkable moments," to generate significant ROI, a strategy he passionately advocates in his presentations.

After participating in the extraordinary success of Chick-fil-A, Salyers realized the business principles used to catapult that organization could be applied universally. In 2018, he founded Spark a Revolution, where he and his team assist companies in creating a competitive advantage by building remarkable cultures and brands. His book "Remarkable," co-authored in 2016 with Dr. Randy Ross, imparts leadership lessons aimed at transforming workplace culture. Additionally, Salyers is a passionate advocate for fatherhood and co-founded Champion Tribes, an initiative focused on strengthening the bonds between fathers and sons.

Salyers attended Wake Forest University, the Universidad de Madrid (Madrid, Spain), and graduated from the University of Georgia. He is also an alumnus of the Harvard Business School (AMP166). He serves as a board member for numerous organizations and has helped launch several startups and nonprofits. In 2017, he was honored with the University of Georgia Terry College of Business Distinguished Alumni Award and recently became the inaugural Startup Mentor in Residence for the University of Georgia, where he serves as a champion for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Salyers and his wife, Lynn, have been married for 29 years and have three adult children and one grandchild. He is currently a member of Northpoint Community Church, serving on the stewardship team and as an elder, reflecting his commitment to community and spiritual life.
