David So

David So is a comedian, YouTuber, actor, entrepreneur, podcast host, and musician. So was born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Sacramento, California. He began uploading content onto YouTube while working and studying at Sacramento State and ultimately left school to pursue a comedy career. He migrated his stand-up content to YouTube, where he wrote and produced much of his original work on his first channel, DavidSoComedy.

So launched the "Genius Brain" podcast on his main channel and other podcasting platforms. He co-hosts the "Dude's Behind the Foods" podcast with fellow YouTuber Tim Chantarangsu and has appeared in film and television as a producer and actor. So co-produced and starred in Justin Chon's film Gook, which won the NEXT Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival. He was also a judge on the 2020 Netflix cooking competition show "Best Leftovers Ever!" alongside Rosemary Shrager and Jackie Tohn.

As an entrepreneur, So has also formed business partnerships and founded various apparel brands including Go For Broke and Scrt Society. He also owns Drips and Swirls, a soft serve ice cream and coffee shop in Koreatown, Los Angeles. His matcha-centric snack and dessert shop, Junbi Matcha & Tea, has two physical locations in California.
