Dr. Brandi Biscoe Kenner

Dr. Brandi B. Kenner is a cognitive developmental psychologist, educator, and nonprofit organizational development guru who has dedicated her 20+ year professional career to doing her part to ensure Choice-filled Lives are a right for all children and families. She has served in numerous professional capacities and sectors throughout her career, including: early childhood education, K-12 education, Higher education, nonprofit executive leadership, and philanthropic executive leadership. Dr. Kenner is heavily involved in language and literacy transformation work and research throughout the United States, and holds an Affiliated Research Scientist appointment with Yale University’s Haskins Laboratories. She strongly believes that language and literacy are critical levers to agency, choice, self-direction, equity and justice.

Dr. Kenner is the Founder and CEO of Choice-filled Lives Network, a social change organization that works to re-humanize our schools and social institutions in an effort to ensure that all children, families, and communities lead self-directed lives of agency, choice and purpose. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology: Cognition & Development from Emory University, as well as a Master of Education degree from Georgia State University, and a Bachelors degree with foci in Elementary Education and Sociology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Dr. Kenner lives in the United States in Atlanta, Georgia and enjoys gardening, cooking, playing outside with the family Pomeranian, and having game nights with her large blended family of eight.
