Dr. Michelle is a national media favorite. She is the host of the new daytime talk show "Wedlock or Deadlock." You've also seen her on shows like Oprah, Today and Tyra where she provides straight talk on everything from relationships to life makeovers. Dr. Michelle was also the Co-Host and Life Coach for BET's inside-outside makeover show REMIXED!

Dr. Michelle's first book, MS. TYPED: Stop Sabotaging Your Relationships and Find Dating Success, was released in February 2010 from Three Rivers Press. In MS. TYPED, Dr. Michelle teaches women how to be the woman and partner they're meant to be–through a revealing "What's Your Type" quiz, uplifting stories from other women, and a "Ms. Typed Makeover" that leads them step-by-step through the process. Dr. Michelle has been featured or quoted in national or international magazines and newspapers like The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, Essence, Glamour, Men's Health Best Life and Ebony. She is also the "Sex and Relationships" Columnist for Women's Health magazine.

Psychologist & Relationship Expert

Dr. Michelle is a Psychologist and expert in the following areas: family and romantic relationships, mental health, stress and coping, women's health and career development. She has conducted extensive research on the effects of violence in relationships on the mental health and coping skills of children, adolescents and adults. She has also researched the risk factors for teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV and AIDS. Her original research has been published in journals such as the American Journal of Public Health, the Journal of Adolescent Research, The Journal of Adolescence, Violence Against Women and The Leadership Journal. She has presented her research at the national conferences of many professional associations including the American Psychological Association, The Society for Research in Child Development, The Society for Research in Adolescence and the National Council on Family Relations.

Dr. Michelle received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and her B.A. in Sociology from Boston College. She was a National Institute of Mental Health Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Yale University.
