Ego Nwodim

Ego Nwodim is an actress and comedian who joined the forty-fourth season of "Saturday Night Live" ("SNL") as a featured player and was promoted to a repertory player for the show's forty-sixth season. She has been a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series since 2018.

In 2016, Nwodim was named one of the New Faces at the Just for Laughs festival and performed at the CBS Diversity Showcase that year. Her television work includes supporting roles on shows such as "Law & Order, True Crime: The Menendez Murders," "2 Broke Girls", "Living Biblically," "Love Life," "Roar," and "Futurama." She has also made guest appearances on "RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars." Film roles for Nwodim include "Magic Camp," "The Broken Hearts Gallery," and "Good Burger 2." She has also participated in "Celebrity Jeopardy!" and "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune."

After graduating with a biology degree from the University of Southern California, Nwodim began her comedy career by taking classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (UCB) in Los Angeles. Until joining SNL, Nwodim was a regular performer at UCB, where she also performed her one-woman show "Great Black Women...and Then There's Me." She has also made several guest appearances on the podcasts "Comedy Bang! Bang!" and "Spontaneanation."
