Emily Giffin, often celebrated for her storytelling akin to a "modern-day Jane Austen," has captivated millions of readers worldwide. Her novels, celebrated for their emotionally rich and realistically flawed characters, have been translated into twenty-nine languages with over five million copies sold globally. Her literary debut, "Something Borrowed," not only launched her career but also made its way to the big screen in May 2011, produced by Hilary Swank and Edward Burns and featuring Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin, and John Krasinski.

From a young age, Giffin showed a penchant for writing, publishing her first poem at the age of eight in Cricket Magazine. Her professional journey, however, initially took her through the corridors of law, as she pursued and completed her degree at the University of Virginia School of Law and subsequently worked in litigation at a New York City law firm. Despite the demands of her legal career, Giffin's passion for writing never waned, and she eventually left her legal practice to dedicate herself to writing full-time.

Persistence in the face of initial literary rejections paid off when Giffin completed "Something Borrowed." The book was praised for its authentic exploration of personal relationships and became a New York Times bestseller, setting the stage for her subsequent novels. A recipient of the Georgia Debut Author of the Year Award, Giffin is a proud alumna of Wake Forest University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
