Emily White

Emily White’s career spans the entertainment industry, carving out a unique path that defines a modern maven. She has chronicled her path and early career in her first book, ​Interning 101 (9GiantStepsBooks), which is also a how-to guide for students and those entering the modern business workforce. White’s early career years additionally included global tour management for artists not limited to The Dresden Dolls, Imogen Heap, Regina Spektor, Zoë Keating, and DeVotchKa. She began working with artists while in college, resulting in positions upon graduation at Madison House and Michael Cohl’s Live Nation Artists where she oversaw Zac Brown Band’s debut album campaign.

Since founding her first company at age 25, White has been at the forefront of the modern music industry as an in-demand speaker and thought leader at countless conferences and universities. She has also worked on Grammy nominated Comedy albums, and has since expanded her entrepreneurial work into sports, specifically within the Olympic swimming space. In 2017 White launched ​#iVoted​, a nationwide voter turnout initiative, that activated over 150 venues in 37 states to let fans in on Election Night 2018, who showed a selfie from outside of their polling place. Her second book, ​How to Build a Sustainable Music Career & Collect All Revenue Streams ​was released in Fall 2019 (9GiantStepsBooks).

White’s name has graced the cover of ​Billboard​ Magazine, with her work additionally featured in Forbes,​ ​FastCompany​,​ Bloomberg​ and ESPN. She has appeared as a music industry talking head on Fox Business, and is a frequent guest contributor for Hypebot and Midem. White proudly serves on the boards of Well-Dunn, CASH Music, and SXSW. She is a board alumnus of Future of Music, The David Lynch Foundation Live, and The Grammys’ Education Committee, as well as, Pandora’s Artist Advisory Council.
