Freddy Flaxman

Freddy Flaxman is a passionate operator with a consistent track record of driving growth through reinvention of media businesses at the intersection of data, content, and technology. Currently, he is the CEO of DFT Partners, a middle-market media and technology private equity firm. He has made investments in or has sat on the board of directors for Recognition Media, the parent company of the Webby Awards; LunarCrush, a financial and social media data business; AFC Wimbledon, a League Two English Football Club; and 3DVC, a portfolio of operator-driven early-stage startups.

Prior to starting his fund, Mr. Flaxman held a variety of executive leadership roles at media and entertainment companies. Most recently, he served as Chief Digital and Development Officer of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where he was responsible for the growth of the firm's non-agency businesses and company-wide strategy. Prior to CAA, he worked as Chief Operating Officer of The Weather Channel, leading all technology, digital, and operations. Before joining The Weather Company, Flaxman served as a member of the News and Multimedia Strategy team at Bloomberg LP, where he worked in collaboration with executive leaders on key strategy and business development initiatives. He began his career at McKinsey & Co., consulting for sports leagues and media companies in the firm’s Media and Entertainment practice.

Mr. Flaxman graduated with honors from Princeton University and is an active alum of Harvard Business School.
