Giada De Laurentiis

Giada De Laurentiis is an Italian-American chef, entrepreneur, and television personality. She is recognized for her work on Food Network’s "Everyday Italian," "Giada at Home," "Giada’s Weekend Getaways," "Giada In Paradise," "Giada In Italy," "Giada’s Holiday Handbook," "Giada Entertains," and "Giada On The Beach." Additionally, De Laurentiis served as a judge on "Food Network Star" and "Winner Cake All" and is a regular contributor to NBC's Today Show.

De Laurentiis is the founder of GDL Foods, a successful catering business. Her culinary career also extends to the restaurant industry, with GIADA and Pronto by Giada on the Las Vegas Strip and GDL Italian by Giada in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2018, she added another restaurant to her portfolio, located at Horseshoe Casino.

De Laurentiis has won numerous accolades throughout her career, including the Daytime Emmy Awards and the Gracie Awards for her hosting and cooking shows. In 2008, she was awarded the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lifestyle Host, and in 2020, her series "Giada Entertains" won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Culinary Series. She was also acknowledged by the International Hospitality Institute as one of the Global 100 in Hospitality.

As an author, De Laurentiis has written several cookbooks, many of which have reached the number one position on The New York Times Best Seller list. She also penned a children's book series, "Recipe for Adventure." In 2017, she launched an e-commerce platform, Giadzy.com, that features new recipes, entertaining and travel tips, and videos, along with a range of kitchen products.

De Laurentiis was trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and has worked in several Los Angeles restaurants, notably the Wolfgang Puck-owned Spago. In recent times, she signed a multi-year deal with Amazon Studios in 2023 to create and produce unscripted programming. The same year, she was named the godmother of Oceania Cruises' ship Vista. With her extensive culinary training and unique charm, De Laurentiis continues to be a widely respected personality in the culinary world.
