Gloria Allred

Gloria Allred is a renowned women's rights attorney and a founding partner of Allred, Maroko & Goldberg (AM&G), a leading private law firm specializing in women's rights. Her firm is noted for handling a high volume of women's rights cases and has secured hundreds of millions of dollars for victims. Allred also founded and currently presides over the Women's Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund (WERLDEF).

Allred, Maroko & Goldberg advocates for victims discriminated against due to their sex, race, age, physical handicap, sexual orientation, and those affected by AIDS. The firm is distinguished for its representation in cases of sexual harassment, wrongful termination, sexual assault, rape, child sexual abuse, and domestic violence. Allred's legal career spans over 47 years, during which she has won numerous awards, including the President’s Volunteer Action Award from Ronald Reagan in 1986 and the Lifetime Achievement Award from American Lawyer Magazine in 2021.

Allred earned her B.A. with honors in English from the University of Pennsylvania, her M.A. from New York University, and her J.D. cum laude from Loyola University School of Law in Los Angeles. She has also been awarded honorary J.D.s from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law and, most recently, from Southwestern Law School in 2023. Allred is the author of "Fight Back and Win: My Thirty-Year Fight Against Injustice - And How You Can Win Your Own Battles." Her influence extends to television, where she was a three-time Emmy nominee for her commentaries on KABC and her show "We the People, with Gloria Allred" was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2012.
