Born in Midland, Texas and given a special mission to become a help to the nation. I graduated from California State University Long Beach in 1981 with a BS degree in Zoology and transitioned into medical research for 2 years. I entered Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and graduated in 1988 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD). I worked 3 years in private practice before entering the United States Public Health Service as a commissioned officer in 1991 and completed a variety of assignments. (Diagnosed with Catamenial Hemopneumothorax/Colon Endometriosis I served in Federal Correctional Institutes Big Spring, Texas; Terminal Island, California; Greenville, Illinois and finally the Indian Health Service in Tsaile, Arizona. I was awarded the USPHS/Department of Health and Human Services Achievement Medal 1995; Unit Commendation Medal 1995; Isolated Hardship Ribbon 1994; and the Hazardous Duty Service Ribbon 1992. I entered the United States Air Force in 1997 and my first tour of duty was Osan AB, South Korea. (Diagnosed with Catamenial Pneumothorax) In 1998 I was reassigned to Nellis AFB Las Vegas, Nevada which included a 3-month deployment to Cairo, Egypt. ( Loculated Catamenial Hemopneumothorax) In 2000 I was reassigned back to Osan AB, South Korea (Catamenial Hemoptysis) and later assigned to Los Angeles AFB in May 2001 where I completed my last tour of duty with the Air Force.(Catamenial Pneumothorax and Tension Pneumothorax) I was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal, First Oak Leaf Cluster 1998 & 2000; and Air Force Achievement Medal 2001. Started a dental practice in 2003, married a wonderful man in 2004, published my book "Living With Lung and Colon Endometriosis: Catamenial Pneumothorax" September 2005, nominated International Health Professional of the year 2006 IBC Cambridge England. I do not believe endometriosis migration to the lung and colon is rare, but not recognized and under diagnosed. My mission is to make every woman, the men who love them and the physicians who treat them aware of this benign disease.
