Greg Besner

Greg Besner has founded and held the position of CEO for various successful technology and consumer product companies. Besner's most recent venture is the software company CultureIQ, Inc., which he founded to aid companies in utilizing data to monitor, measure, and enhance their corporate culture.

Before founding CultureIQ, Besner was the CFO of SecondMarket Holdings, Inc., based in New York. As a founding Advisory Board member, he contributed significantly to the company's launch in 2004. Besner assisted SecondMarket in raising $36 million in Angel capital and Series A, B, and C venture capital funding. Before his engagement with SecondMarket, Besner led a group of private investors in the Series B funding of House Party, Inc., a growth stage digital media company. Besner served as COO from 2009-2010, during which the company saw sales increase from $3.8mm to $12mm. Besner also founded and held the CEO position at Computershare Executive Services, a SaaS fin-tech company formerly known as Restricted Stock Systems, Inc. ("RSS"), from 2000 until 2009. Besner sold RSS to Computershare Limited, a public company based in Australia in 2007 and continued as President until January of 2009. During this time, Besner received the Ernst & Young 2003 Entrepreneur of the Year award in New Jersey. Besner's other ventures include co-founding Leslie Hsu LLC, a fashion accessories company, with his partner in 2000. The company raised $4 million in debt capital and continues to operate profitably today.

In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Besner is also a noted investor and consultant for a variety of successful companies and start-ups. Notably, Besner was an investor and consultant for Zappos.com until the company was sold to Amazon in 2009. Currently, Besner serves on the Board of Directors or the Board of Advisors for ten privately held companies. He also serves on the board of his family foundation, the Willa's Wish Foundation, Inc. and the Board of Directors of the Young Presidents' Organization ("YPO") NJ Chapter.

Besner is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU Stern. Besner completed his M.B.A. at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his B.A. at Rutgers University.
