Hannah Schmitz, currently serving as the Principal Strategy Engineer for Red Bull Racing, has been an integral part of the team's recent successes in Formula One racing. Since joining the team in November 2009, her strategic insights have led to multiple championship titles in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Schmitz's strategic aptitude is not limited to overall titles but extends to individual race victories as well, notably contributing to Max Verstappen's win at the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix and Sergio Pérez's triumph at the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix.
In recognition of her contributions to motorsport, Schmitz was awarded the Female Engineer of the Year by McLaren Applied in 2022. Over her career, Schmitz has displayed a knack for making quick, decisive decisions that have led to team victories. Her strategic role in the Hungarian Grand Prix and Dutch Grand Prix in 2022, along with her crucial involvement in Verstappen's title win, further solidify her reputation in the racing world.
