Harry G. Broadman

Harry G. Broadman is a globally recognized international finance executive, private equity investor, trade negotiator, and expert in business growth, risk mitigation, corporate governance, and innovation. With over three decades of experience, Broadman has transformed businesses and policy frameworks across the globe. After earning his doctorate in economics in his mid-20s, Broadman became a thought leader on the shifting dynamics of global markets, advocating for robust economic strategies long before "globalization" was a mainstream concept. His insights have driven operational strategies that enhance firms' competitiveness, particularly in emerging markets. Broadman has worked in more than 85 countries across continents including China, India, Russia, Latin America, and Africa. He has advised C-suites and boards of companies such as IBM, GE, Coca-Cola, Exxon-Mobil, and Pepsi, among others.

As a keynote speaker, Broadman is recognized for his forward-thinking perspectives on how changes in international markets impact business decision-making. Broadman has also served on the Boards of Directors for several organizations, including ArmorText, PartnersGlobal, and The Corporate Council on Africa. He previously managed PricewaterhouseCoopers' Global Business Growth Strategy Consulting Practice and served as the firm’s Chief Economist. Earlier in his career, he held significant roles at the World Bank, and served as Chief of Staff for the President's Council of Economic Advisers. He has authored influential books such as Africa’s Silk Road: China and India’s New Economic Frontier, and is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Additionally, Broadman has a proven track record as a U.S. Assistant Trade Representative, where he was instrumental in drafting key legislation and shaping significant trade agreements like NAFTA and the WTO. Broadman holds degrees in economics and history from Brown University and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan.
