Irv Rothman

With over forty years of executive experience in the financial services industry, Irv Rothman possesses a comprehensive background in CEO roles, change, finance, globalization, and leadership. His career, marked by strategic decision-making and robust leadership, has been instrumental in start-ups, large mergers, joint venture and M&A activities, turnaround situations, and managing global operations. Rothman's approach, termed as Gutsball, emphasizes success-driven passion and intelligent risk-taking which fuels his impactful execution.

Rothman commenced his notable career with leadership positions at U.S. Leasing International and Thomson McKinnon Securities before moving to AT&T in 1985. As group president, he was pivotal in establishing AT&T Capital as a $9 billion corporation. Rothman is currently the President and CEO of HP Financial Services, where he manages over 1500 employees and oversees $12.5 billion in assets. His leadership fosters a culture of trust, collaboration, autonomy, and ethical behavior aimed at enhancing customer service. Prior to this role, Rothman was president and CEO of Compaq Financial Services (CFS). At CFS, he expanded the company into a global contender covering 43 countries, achieving $3.4 billion in assets, and generating $1 billion in revenue through strategic joint ventures and acquisitions. His strategic acumen was further demonstrated during the successful HP/Compaq merger in 2002, which significantly advanced the capabilities of HP’s finance and leasing options, now generating over $3.5 billion in annual revenue.

Irv Rothman completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University and earned his MBA from Pepperdine University. He authored "Out-Executing the Competition," a detailed narrative of his professional journey and his contributions to the financial services sector.
