James Moore

The book, a product of almost two decades of reporting on Bush and Rove before their political ascension, examines the questions and issues raised by the complex relationship between the president and his most important advisor. Mr. Moore, who has traveled and reported extensively on every presidential campaign since 1976, was a correspondent assigned to the Bush campaign in 2000. Presently, Moore is at work on a second book about the Bush administration and the conflict with Iraq. His television work has appeared on CNN, NBC, and CBS networks.

Moore has more than 20 years experience in television broadcasting and print journalism. His background includes reporting from the civil wars in Nicaragua and El Salvador as well as international reporting from Mexico, Cuba, Central America, Europe, and Canada. In addition to a long career as an on-air correspondent, Moore has reported on key social and political issues in Texas and nationally, including coverage of Texas legislative sessions since 1979 and all of the Presidential nominating conventions since 1976. He traveled full time as a correspondent on the Bush presidential campaign for the Texas Television Network. Moore's assignments have included most of the major national news stories in the U.S. over the past quarter century. His journalism has displayed a keen understanding of various controversies and an ability to communicate issues in an understandable and interesting manner.

Moore has also worked successfully as a scriptwriter. His documentary script, A Run Unto The Sea, produced by Arrowhead Films, won the gold medal at the 1992 Houston International Film Festival. His reportage on the Republic of Texas separatist group was honored with an Emmy by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
