Janel Parrish

Janel Parrish is an actress best known for starring as Mona Vanderwaal in the mystery-drama franchise "Pretty Little Liars" (2010–2017, 2019), and its spin-off, "Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists." Her portrayal of the complex villain Mona Vanderwaal won her multiple Teen Choice Awards and even led to a nomination for a TV Guide Award. She also made notable appearances in the NBC series "Heroes" and in the To All the Boys film series as Margot Covey (2018–2021). She took a lead role in the teen comedy film Bratz (2007), marking her debut in the film industry.

Parrish started her career with a love for music. She entered and won a statewide singing competition at age 6, launching her career in the performing arts. Her early love for music led to her signing with Geffen Records as a solo artist and releasing her first single, "Rainy Day," in 2007. Not long after, she returned to her stage roots when she was cast in the National Touring Company and later the Broadway company of Les Miserables as "Little Cosette."

While studying acting, Parrish continued to train vocally, eventually adding piano and dance to her repertoire. She also began writing her own music, which led to her becoming the lead singer in a three-girl pop group called Impulse. Her music career further expanded when she competed in the 19th season of Dancing with the Stars, finishing in third place. In 2023, Parrish returned to the competition stage in the 10th season of The Masked Singer as "Gazelle," where she once again finished as a finalist.

Apart from her acting and music career, Parrish has also made her mark in the fashion industry. She has modeled for Camille La Vie & Group USA's prom dresses and appeared on the covers of several fashion magazines such as Nationalist, Pulse Spikes, Luca, Vulkan, and Modeliste. She continues to engage her fans through her YouTube channel, where she releases music videos and endorses various products on Instagram.

Despite her busy career, Parrish has always been involved in advocacy. She appeared in an anti-bullying public service announcement for Disney and ABC's #ChooseKindness campaign, using her platform to promote positive change.
