Janet Galore Biography
Janet Galore is a creative director at Amazon who excels in user experience and dealing with the intersection of art and technology. She has over 20 years of experience working in interactive entertainment, multi-modal retail and physical installations.
Galore has served as creative director at Amazon since April 2015. Prior to that position, she was the senior user experience designer at Amazon from September 2013 to March 2015.
Before beginning her career at Amazon, Galore worked at Microsoft for eight years, including as the Director of Advanced Strategies & Research, a position in which she worked on long-term technology strategy, speech writing and presentation design.
Galore, ever the innovator, enjoys pushing technical and creative boundaries with her work. She likes to bring products from the idea's conception to the product launch, creating user experiences with impact.
She's an award-winning artist, animator and director who has authored and contributed to several technology books on Flash and streaming media.
In addition to her work, Galore is active in the Seattle arts community.
Galore holds a bachelor's degree in pure mathematics from the University of Washington-Seattle.
