Jeramey Anderson

Representative Jeramey Anderson represents District 110 in the Mississippi Legislature, covering Moss Point and Pascagoula. When Anderson won his seat in November of 2013, he became the youngest African American ever elected to a state legislature in United States history and the youngest person elected to the Mississippi Legislature.

Since his inauguration on his 22nd birthday, Anderson has appeared on MSNBC and has been featured in the NAACP magazine's February issue. His legislative efforts include authoring and co-authoring bills focused on increasing minimum wage, ensuring full funding for public education, wage equality, criminal justice reform, and childcare subsidies. Currently serving his third term, Anderson's term is set to end in January 2024. He has been elected Chairman of Caucus Operations by his Democratic colleagues in the Mississippi House of Representatives.

In addition to his legislative work, Anderson is the Chief Executive Officer of nexiWorks, a digital marketing company he founded in 2020. He was featured in Essence Magazine as a potential future Presidential candidate and recognized as a "Young Riser" at the 2015 BET Honors by BET. Anderson has also been honored during the opening session of the United Nations as one of the world's most influential people of African descent under 40. He serves on the Advisory Board for "Let America Vote" and is the co-chairman of the Mississippi Future Caucus. Anderson is a sought-after speaker at high school and college commencements across the country.
