Joaquim Dos Santos

Joaquim Dos Santos, a Portuguese-American animator, storyboard artist, director, producer, and writer, has an extensive career in animation that includes directing television series such as "Justice League Unlimited," "Avatar: The Last Airbender," "G.I. Joe: Resolute," "The Legend of Korra," and "Voltron: Legendary Defender." He also made his mark as a director in the film industry, with credits including Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which received an Academy Award and Golden Globe nomination for Best Animated Feature Film, and its sequel Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, set to release in 2024.

Dos Santos started his career as a storyboard artist for the animated series "Justice League," where his talent led to a promotion to the role of director. He continued his career trajectory by joining the staff of "Avatar: The Last Airbender," where he contributed as a storyboard artist and later elevated to a director's role. His involvement with the "Avatar" series extended to its sequel, "The Legend of Korra," as a co-director and co-executive producer.
