Joe Zimmerman

Joe Zimmerman is a comedian praised for an accessible style pairing absurdism with observational and autobiographical material. He is an original member of the Beards of Comedy, who toured from 2008-2012 and released two albums — 2011’s "Cardio Mix" & 2009’s "Comedy For People.

In 2013 Zimmerman made his television debut on "John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show" on Comedy Central, and since then has appeared on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," Season 8 of NBC’s "Last Comic Standing," Nickelodeon, and recorded a Comedy Central Half Hour Special. In 2014, Zimmerman recorded his debut album, "Smiling at Wolves," which reached No. 2 on iTunes, and Buzzfeed named him a “Comedian you should be paying attention to,” saying “The combination of Joe’s calming vocalization and inventive writing is a thing of magic.” Zimmerman's second album, Innocence, came out on in 2019. In 2023, Zimmerman's first, fully produced one-hour comedy special "Cult Classic" was released, directed by fellow comedian Nate Bargatze.

Originally from Morgantown, WV, Zimmerman began his comedy career in North Carolina in 2006, shortly after graduating from Davidson College. In 2012, Zimmerman relocated to New York City, where he currently resides. Beyond performing, Zimmerman hosts a podcast called "A Great Listening Experience." As of now, Zimmerman is actively touring across the United States, showcasing his new material.
