John C. Malone an American billionaire businessman, landowner, and philanthropist. He is chairman of Liberty Media Corporation, Liberty Broadband Corporation and Liberty Global Plc. His extensive experience includes serving as chief executive officer of Tele-Communications, Inc. for over 25 years until its merger with AT&T Corporation.
Dr. Malone previously served as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors of Discovery Holding Company in the early 2000's, when it merged with Discovery. Dr. Malone has served as a director of Liberty Broadband, Liberty Media (including its predecessors), Liberty Global (including its predecessors), and Qurate Retail (including its predecessors).
Dr. Malone previously served as a director of GCI Liberty, Inc., Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., Liberty Expedia Holdings, Inc, Liberty Latin America Ltd., Charter Communications, Inc., and Expedia, Inc. He also brings extensive experience serving on boards of non-profit organizations within the cable industry, including Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. and the National Cable Television Association.
