John Casey is the Lead Columnist for "The Advocate", the largest LGBTQ site in the United States. As the site's top columnist, he writes about societal and politcal issues affecting the LGBTQ community, including discussion with Dr. Tony Fauci, Mary Trump, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, Ambassador Rufus Gifford, Jillian Michaels, and many other noteworthy people and celebrities.
He is also a PR professional and Adjunct Professor of Digital Media and Communications at Wagner College in New York City.
John led award-winning PR work on behalf of the Nobel Prize winning UN IPCC on a climate change campaign, and, for UN Special Envoy Michael R. Bloomberg. Prior to his award-winning work on climate change, he was a PR/media relations director with Toys "R" Us, Sears, Kmart and Macy's.
John is a former senior manager with international agencies Porter-Novelli and Ruder-Finn in New York, and served as a Press Secretary for a Pennsylvania Congressman on Capitol Hill for six years.
