Jordan Belfort

Jordan Ross Belfort is an American author, motivational speaker, and former stockbroker. He is best known for being the inspiration for the 2013 film "The Wolf of Wall Street." His life story was depicted in the film, which received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations, with Leonardo DiCaprio winning the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy for his portrayal of Belfort.

In the 1990s, Belfort built one of the most dynamic and successful sales organizations in Wall Street history. As the owner and founder of the brokerage firm Stratton Oakmont, Belfort employed over 1,000 stockbrokers and raised over $1 billion to start up more than 30 million-dollar companies from scratch, taking over many of them when they ran into trouble and then turning them around for significant profits.
