Josh Hix, Co-Founder and CEO of Season Health. Season Health is a platform that connects members with healthy meal ideas and grocery options to help members and providers manage chronic conditions. Prior to starting Season Health, Hix co-founded the meal prep delivery service Plated, which led to an appearance on SharkTank, investments, and eventual sale to Albertsons grocery store. Hix is a serial entrepreneur with several successful tech startups under his belt. Hix holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Season Health, the only integrated Food-as-Medicine Platform that enables people to eat well and live well.
Hix previously started and sold a company called Plated, a meal-kit delivery service that was bought in 2019. It turned out that while people had signed up for Plated to explore new cuisines, to do something new with their spouses, and a host of other reasons unrelated to diet, they ended up with better health outcomes 6 months later. Most people did not start because they wanted to get healthier, which was an important learning for Hix.
