Kerry Kennedy

Kerry Kennedy has devoted over three decades to advocating for equal justice, the protection of basic rights, and the preservation of the rule of law. She has tackled a broad spectrum of human rights issues, including children’s rights, child labor, disappearances, indigenous land rights, judicial independence, freedom of expression, ethnic violence, impunity, and environmental protection. Kennedy has placed a special emphasis on women’s rights, shedding light on serious injustices such as honor killings, sexual slavery, domestic violence, workplace discrimination, sexual assault, and abuse of prisoners.

In addition to her extensive work in human rights, Kennedy founded RFK Compass, a bi-annual series of conferences that attracts leading global investors to discuss the integration of environmental, social, and governance factors with financial returns. Her role as a sustainable investment expert has made her a leading voice in advocating for investment strategies that ensure financial returns while fostering social good. Kennedy has also been instrumental in leading RFK Human Rights in successful legal actions against government abuses in Latin America and Africa and chaired the Amnesty International USA Leadership Council for 15 years.

Kennedy is not only an activist but also an educator and author. She established the RFK Speak Truth to Power human rights education program, which has reached over 30 million students globally. As an author, she has contributed several impactful books to the field, including the New York Times best-seller "Being Catholic Now," as well as "Speak Truth to Power: Human Rights Defenders who are Changing our World" and "Robert F. Kennedy: Ripples of Hope." Her presentations often highlight the roles individuals and corporations can play in addressing social challenges and advocating for human rights and justice. Through her life and lectures, Kennedy continues to inspire a commitment to human rights amidst a landscape often marked by cynicism toward public service.
