Kevin Hall

Kevin Hall is an education leader with experience as a leadership coach, principal, professional development facilitator, and teacher. Currently, Hall works as an Independent Educational Consultant.

Most recently, Hall served as the Elementary Academy Principal at Excellence Boys in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. In his first year of turnaround work, he increased Excellence Boys state ELA exam performance against the district by 10 points, reaching a proficiency rate that more than doubled the districts. The school maintained a proficiency rate of at least double the district in the years that followed. He transformed student and staff culture to create a joyful, rigorous, and achievement-oriented culture, resulting in a 97% reduction in suspensions.

Prior to joining Excellence Boys, he was the Assistant Principal at Harlem Link Charter School where he increased average ELA mastery across grades 3-5 by more than 25 percentage points and Math mastery by more than 20 percentage points, exceeding the district average by more than 30 points.

He is an alumnus of Teach For America and began his career teaching 3rd grade at PS 213 in East New York, Brooklyn.

Hall is an alumnus of the Leverage Leadership Institute, a highly selective national group of district and charter school leaders with a proven track record of results focused on developing and leading others to grow in their instructional practice.

He holds a B.A. in Social Studies from Wesleyan University and a Masters of Science in Teaching from Pace University.
