Lance Mason

The best word to describe Lance Mason is remarkable. His journey is nothing short of unique. Growing up in Memphis, TN as the son of two kidney transplant recipients he was involved with chronic kidney disease from a young age. Mason watched both of his parents battle with CKD for two decades. At the age of 21, he lost both of his parents to complications related to their disease and shortly after the death of his mother, he was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease.

Doctors told him that it was unbelievable that he was even alive, he was then rushed into emergency dialysis. That day changed the course of his life forever, for the next twenty months he completed three hemodialysis sessions a week while being a full-time college student. In 2021, he received a kidney transplant and ten months later he graduated with his Bachelor's Degree.

Doctors referred to him as the greatest patient they had ever seen, and that his consistent dedication made him a prime candidate for transplant. Now, he spends his time advocating on behalf on patients across the world. His speaking engagements include: Capitol Hill, various podcasts, and kidney events with a focus on motivating, inspiring, and elevating millions of people to reach their higher purpose in life.
