Lolo Jones

Lolo Jones is a USA track and field star, who specializes in the 60 meter and 100-meter hurdles. She has won three NCAA titles and garnered 11 All-American honors while at LSU. As well, she won indoor national titles in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2012 in the 60m hurdles, and won her first world championship in 2008 in the same event. She also secured the World Indoor championship again in 2010 and was the U.S. Outdoor champion in 2010.

Jones was part of the Louisiana State University track and field team. In the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship, she won the 100-meter hurdles, and in 2003 and 2004, Jones won the indoor hurdles event at the NCAA Championship. She also claimed victory in the 60-meter indoor hurdles at the NCAA Championships in 2003 and 2004.

One year later she won the Torino Memorial event, and in 2006 she won both the Ostrava track event as well as the Heusden track event.

Jones went on to win the USA Outdoor Championship and the USA and World Indoor Championship in 2008. Unfortunately, during her appearance at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in the 100-meter hurdle event, she stumbled on the penultimate hurdle and finished 17th in the race.

In her next Olympic appearance, at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, she placed 4th in the 100-meter hurdle event.

After this incident, Jones began training as a part of the U.S. bobsled team for the 2014 Sochi Winter Games. At the Winter Games, Jones and her teammate came in at 11th place. She continued in bobsledding and was part of the team that won gold at the World Championships for bobsled in 2021.

Jones is also a published author, having written "Over It: How to Face Life’s Hurdles with Grit, Hustle, and Grace," which details her personal and professional journey.

Most recently, Jones competed in the 19th season of "Dancing with the Stars" (2014) as well as "MTV's The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros" (2017). She has also appeared on television shows including "Celebrity Big Brother" and hosts a podcast titled "Gold Medal Loser," where she discusses overcoming obstacles on the way to success.
