Lorraine Twohill

Lorraine Twohill joined Google in 2003 and now serves as the VP for Global Marketing. She is responsible for articulating Google's evolving narrative globally and simplifying the presentation of Google’s products for users and customers. Her scope of work encompasses marketing all of Google’s products worldwide, including initiatives such as promoting Google Search, launching the Chrome browser, and supporting small businesses in establishing online presence, as well as projects using technology to preserve global culture. Previously, she built and led Google's marketing operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Twohill has 21 years of experience in marketing. Before Google, she built and led the marketing team at Opodo, the European travel site formed by nine of Europe's leading airlines. She managed Opodo's launch across Europe, rapidly establishing it as a top competitor in all its initial markets within just two years. Additionally, she has been recognized by Adweek, receiving the title of Grand Brand Genius two years ago for her contributions to the field.

A native of Carlow, Ireland, Twohill holds a joint honors degree in International Marketing and Languages from Dublin City University, an institution that has nominated her to their Alumni Roll of Honour. She also serves on the Board of Directors at Williams-Sonoma Inc., leveraging her extensive marketing expertise to guide broader business strategies.
