Lucy Dawson is a disabled model and content creator from Lincolnshire. After she experienced a rare brain disease named Anti NDMA receptor Autoimmune Encephalitis at 20 years old, she was left with a paralyzed leg, brain injury and having to learn to speak, walk, read and write from scratch at 21.
Dawson social media growth has largely been down to her advocacy work & content relating to both her disability and also her experience as a brain disease survivor. She is most known for her colorful walking sticks which she matches to her outfits as well as the way she calls out ableism in an often humorous but always educational way. Because of this, Dawson has been nominated for many awards including Influencer of the Year, TikToker of the year and also made the 30 Under 30 Rising Stars list in her county.
